The study by Lin Gao et al. in Nature Cell Biology examines the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection on the maternal-fetal interface using single-cell analysis, revealing significant impacts on transcriptomic and epigenomic profiles. Dr Leung served as co-chair with Dr Victor Corces to organize the GRC on Genome Architecture in Cell Fate and Disease held in Ventrura, California. Clooney, David, Eric, Jacqueline, Lin, Phoebe, and Qinghong attended the meeting and presented their work. Phoebe and Clooney were selected to give a short talk and rapid fire talk, respectively.
